With over 32 years of experience and expertise in building bodies, we are able to offer a bespoke design and manufacture service and our flexible approach ensures we can respond to the individual client brief. In listening to our customers’ needs Mr Townend has designed and developed a multi-functional tail door which is hinged at both the top and side of the body and has proved invaluable for our customers in the demolition industry whilst transporting large rocks, boulders and bulk waste. The two way hinge system allows the tail door to be opened in the traditional way for a tipper body, swinging open from the top hinges or to be opened from the side hinges in a barn door style. This method allows the doors to be pinned back open during the tipping process and prevents any possible damage caused to the tail door during the emptying of the large loads.

As part of our drive to move forward, we are always looking for ways to improve our manufacturing processes. We have recently invested in new lifting gear and designed and developed a jig and trolley system to enable us to build the bodies in the workshop prior to mounting them onto the chassis as opposed to our previous method which was to build the bodies up from the chassis. This new process not only helps reduce any possible damage caused to the vehicle during build but has also greatly speeded up the production process.

We maintain Conformity of Production Clearance from the VCA which authorises the production and assembly of the class N1, N2 and N3 vehicles. 
We are a member of Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association which keeps us up to date with the latest information on legislation and standards and we follow the VBRA code of practice.
